Novain Technologies Limited ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Novainconnect platform.

1. Information We Collect

A. Registration & Profile Data

We collect information provided during account creation, including your full name, email address, and encrypted passwords handled by Firebase Authentication.

B. Organization Data

For organizations, we collect the organization name, abbreviation, contact details, addresses (USA and Nigeria), and branding assets (logos and images).

C. Member & Activity Data

We store data related to your role, account type (Single/Family), profile image, and membership status. We also track activity such as votes cast, election applications, and administrative actions.

D. Financial Data

We track payment history for dues, projects, donations, and subscriptions. Sensitive payment card data is processed directly by Stripe or Paystack and is never stored on our servers. We store transaction references and statuses.

E. Uploaded Content

We host documents, receipts, election result sheets, gallery images, and profile/campaign photos using Firebase Storage.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party processors to provide our services:

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage.
Stripe: Payment processing for USD transactions.
Paystack: Payment processing for NGN transactions.
Google AI (Gemini/Genkit): Used to generate drafted content (announcements and reminders). Your prompts are processed by Google to provide these features.
Nodemailer/SMTP: For sending automated email notifications and receipts.

3. AI Features

When you use our AI tools to draft announcements or reminders, the content you provide as prompts is processed by Google's Generative AI. We do not use your private organizational data to train these models.

Novainconnect uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

We use cookies to:

Maintain your login session and authentication status.
Remember your preferences and organization selection.
Enable core platform functionality and security features.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request account and data deletion at any time via our Account Deletion Page. Upon a valid request, we will remove your personal data from our active databases within 30 days, subject to legal or audit requirements.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS and at rest within Firebase. We implement role-based access control to ensure only authorized personnel can access sensitive information.
